My Uncle Napoleon

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: My Uncle Napoleon is the best book about Iran that I ever read. It's author, Iraj Pezechkzad, will be at Stanford. So if you are lucky enough to be in the area (I'm not, unfortunately), go hear him speak!

Tori,

Have you read "The Adventures of Haji Baba of Isphahan" by James Morier? Even though I, too, am a fan of Mr. Pezeshkzad and "Uncle Napoleon", I must admit Morier's book is a superior study of Iranian culture.

I have not read it yet, but I have heard that it was so successful that Persians refused to believe a foreigner had written it.
